ARGE HOLZGAS

USE

The previously cleaned gas is fed to the internal combustion engine. This engine drives an induction machine working as an electric generator.
The whole residual heat of the plant is used: the heat from gas cooling, the heat from engine cooling and also the heat from the hot exhaust gases of the internal combustion engine is used.
The exhausted gas from the engine passes the catalyst and a heat exchanger. There the exhaust gas is cooled down at approximately 70 – 80 °C. The different sources of heat are fed to a collector to be used for domestic heating purpose.
The excess heat can also be used for different heating purposes on a farm: for drying cereal, firewood or wood chips (biomass heating). The purpose: obtaining higher calorific efficiency and avoiding molder wood chips.
